The best natural skin care cream is one that contains, plant oils, proteins and vitamins necessary for the skin’s health.  You won’t find the best skin creams in department stores or advertised on television.  You’ll have to do a little searching to find anything that contains all of these compounds, but it is well worth the effort.

The best natural skin care cream should help slow the signs of aging and conquer dryness, without feeling overly oily or greasy.  The skin’s layers are composed of chains of amino acid proteins.  The body needs protein for many things, and rebuilding skin-cells and fibers is one of them.

Research has shown that if a protein is similar enough to that which is normally found in the skin, it will be used to build new cells.  Many products contain keratin, one of those amino acid proteins.  But, the best skin creams contain a new compound called Functional Keratin.

It was created through a patented process that allows it to be readily used to build more cells.  It may be the best natural skin care cream ever made.  The functional ingredient was derived from the wool of Australian sheep, so it won’t be found on a supermarket shelf, but you can order it through the internet.

Researchers were amazed when they saw the effect that COQ10 had on the skin’s cells.  The coenzyme is an antioxidant found all over the human body.  But, until recently, we were unaware that the skin’s stores are depleted when exposed to the sun.

The best skin creams contain a variety of the antioxidant that can penetrate through many of the skin’s layers, replacing that which is lost due to the sun and repairing earlier damage done by the sun.  When it comes to the beauty of our faces, sunshine may be our worst enemy, but the use of sun-screens is becoming more and more controversial.

The best natural skin care cream also contains vitamin B-5 which helps repair skin tissue and acts as a moisturizer.   But, it also provides protection from sun burn.  It relieves existing sunburns and enhances tanning.  A light tan protects the deepest of the skin’s layers from harmful UV radiation.

Sun screen lotions only provide protection from sunburns and do not protect the lower layers from UV damage.  In fact some of the UV rays penetrate more deeply when the screens are used.  The safest and best skin creams do not contain a screening element or an SPF rating.

Hyaluronic acid is another of the amino acid proteins needed to create skin-fibers.  But, so far, scientists have not found a naturally occurring protein that is compatible.  They have however found a type of kelp that can be used to decrease the break down of the protein.

It is called wakame and it is only found in the best natural skin care cream.  An extract of the kelp inhibits an enzymatic process that destroys the protein.  So, research has shown that with continued use, the levels of the protein naturally rise.  So, look for wakame, if you really want the best.

    GENETICS, ENVIRONMENT AND DRINK

According to Gregory C. Gibson, Ph.D., Professor of Genetics at the University of Queensland, Australia, a “clash of our genetics and the modern world is making us sick”. In other words, though we’ve evolved, our genes are not perfect and sometimes dysfunction in a certain environment. How true.

Miia Kivipelto, a research scientist in Finland, found that moderate coffee drinkers (3 to 5 cups a day) were 65% less susceptible to age related dementia.

    But how and why?

For one thing, coffee is acidic and all dilute acids conduct electricity due to the presence of mobile ions. Coffee also speeds up detoxification. The polyphenols in coffee are suspected of being great scavengers of mutagenic compounds. The beta amyloid “sticky” which builds up in the alzeimer brain and then hardens into plaque, very well could be “cleaned out” or prevented altogether by polyphenols in coffee.

The mobile ions perhaps preventing the collapsing of Tau, or proteins within the brain.

It is also suspected that coffee prevents cancer.

It has been a well known fact for hundreds of years that coffee wakes people up. What Miia Kivipelto’s research proved, is that it has a continued affect on the brain, taken in moderation, to prevent dementia. However, it isn’t 100% true, 100% of the time, indicating a possible genetic reason.

Quite possibly, some people’s brains are more prone to react positively to the affects of coffee due to their genetics. Which may or may not prove natural selection to a degree. If anything, it is some mighty evidence which suggests that chemicals which we find within the environment can actually aid our survival and they don’t necessarily have to be concocted in a lab by scientists.

During my lifetime, I have dealt with strep throat, urinary tract infections, pink eye, a couple of nasty cuts and a bad case of Infantigo. When I consider that any one of these could eventually have killed me without anti-biotics, I am amazed how the human race managed to survive throughout history, before the advent of synthetic and lab concocted chemicals.

Understanding as I do how bacteria and virus’ can multiply out of control on one’s skin, I realize that either, the people of old were more genetically tough, or they were using something, some sort of natural chemicals to treat people.

So, more than likely coffee is beneficial to the brain of one genetically geared to accept its positive affects.

The anti-aging bug has also bitten men, which is why they need all the help they can get when it comes to finding the right men anti-aging skincare products. Men’s skincare is a topic that guys are no longer ashamed to talk about. I’m not just talking about metrosexuals, even regular Joes have the tendency to be vainer than some women. What’s so great about this gutsy shift in the male species’ behavior is that men’s skincare has opened up a whole new aisle in the supermarket: the men anti-aging skincare section.

Finding the perfect product for men’s skincare can be rather stressful, but guys, don’t fret. The last thing you need are worry lines on your forehead.

For pretty boys and handsome guys, here is a guide for you to find the best men anti-aging skincare products and keep up with your equally vain female counterparts.

    – Start with Sunscreen
Skin is like a bridge that is built to stand firm but over time, external elements slowly eat away at it and causes it to weather. These external elements in skin are called free radicals. Free radicals are formed in the skin when it is exposed to environmental factors such as the sun’s rays, pollution and other elements that could damage the skin. Dermatologists believe that among these free radicals, the ultraviolet rays puts the skin at risk the most and speed up aging. Sun spots, freckles, fine lines, wrinkles and sagging are signs of aging that easily show up on the face without proper protection.

These, however, can be prevented with the regular use of sunscreen. Sunscreen is the number one product that should make it on the men anti-aging skincare list. Be sure to get sunscreen that protects from both UVA and UVB rays. It’s also best to get sunscreen with high SPF numbers and the kind that is compatible with your skin type.

    – Know the best men’s skincare products available
Next to knowing your skin type, you need to know not only the top products that cater to men’s skincare but also their ingredients.. Start with over-the-counter products and observe how it affects your skin. Over a 3-week trial period, see if the products really work for your skin.

    – Try out new products
Hopefully, you’ll be do more trying and less erring. Men anti-aging skincare  products with Retin-A have been clinically tested and proven to reduce wrinkles. If retin-A is missing from the men’s skincare aisle, you can also take products with retinol, a less powerful form of retin-A, for a test drive. Also keep an eye out for retinaldehyde, another variant of retin-A, which is an amazingly effective men anti-aging skincare ingredient.

    – Start a men anti-aging skincare routine
It’s advisable to put on sunscreen daily even if the sun isn’t shining in all its glory. Dermatologists recommend that only apply small amounts of retanaldehyde to your face and neck. It’s important to apply on the neck as well because the skin in that area usually is the first to give away your age. And don’t forget the basic facial wash and moisturizer that keeps your face clean and fresh. It’s nice to get into a habit of taking care of your skin and not just curing signs of aging but preventing the symptoms from appearing as well.

    – Consult a dermatologist
When you notice that your skin reacts well (or the complete opposite) consult a dermatologist. During your visit, you can also ask for a retin-A prescription if you want stronger doses of it for your skin.

Finding the most effective men anti-aging skincare product takes a lot of patience and eagerness to get only the best for your skin.

When it comes to skin care products, you will find that a lot of people are very particular about using only natural skin care products. They treat all the synthetic products as harmful to the skin.

So, are natural skin care products the answer to all of our problems? What if a natural skin care product is not available for the treatment of a particular skin disorder? Are the synthetic skin care products so harmful that they should be banned?

Different people have different answers to these questions. However, the reality is that due to presence of synthetic preservatives, it’s really tough to find a natural skin care product that is 100% natural. There are natural skin care products that have natural preservatives, but their cost might be detrimental. Moreover, such natural skin products have a shorter shelf life and hence are not preferred by the manufacturers of natural skin care products.

Some people carry a wrong notion that since natural skin care products are natural, they cannot cause any harm to the skin. The suitability of a skin care product is not based on whether it is synthetic or natural. An unsuitable natural skin care product can harm you in almost the same way as a synthetic one. So, use natural skin care products, but be open to synthetic ones too (you might need them when a natural solution is not available)

Your selection of a natural skin care product should be based on 3 factors:

    * The skin type (dry, oily, normal, sensitive) of the person who will use that natural skin care product

    * The climatic conditions in which it will be used e.g. hot and humid condition would warranty the use of oil-free natural skin care products.

    * The process for application/use of the natural skin care product. A good natural skin care product (in fact any product) can seem useless if not used in the proper way.

You can also make natural skin care products by yourself, by using the recipes that are readily available on the internet and in the books at book stores.

Use of organic fruits and vegetables is also popular as a natural skin care procedure. Some essential oils, herbal oils, are useful too and are known for their moisturizing and antiseptic properties

However, using a natural skin care product does not mean that you can exercise carelessness with other aspects of skin care. Natural skin care products should be used like supplements to the following ‘essential’ recommendations: healthy eating habits (avoiding oily food), regular exercise, drinking a lot of water (8 glasses everyday), and cleanliness. This will then form a perfect and completely natural skin care routine that will help maintain a healthy beautiful skin for longer time.
